In 2004 KPMG undertook a survey of 2164 of Australia’s and New Zealand’s largest organisations in both the private and public sector.  Of  491 responses it was established corporate entities between April 2002 to March 2004 showed losses of some $456 million due to workplace fraud and embezzlement.  The figures presented represent less than 25% of all those surveyed with alarming results.
